Multi Systemic Therapy (Intensive Clinical Services)

Who our service is for

Our team provides Multi Systemic Therapy (MST).

MST is a programme for the immediate family or caregivers of rangatahi/young people aged 10-17 who are demonstrating challenging at-risk behaviour.

The young person does not need to engage with MST if they do not wish to.

Treatments and care we provide

The 20-week MST programme supports parents and caregivers to develop new ways to respond to and resolve problems such as aggression, running away, truancy, offending, and substance use.

MST is focused on empowering parents and caregivers, and is proven to create more long-lasting effects than therapies which focus solely on the individual. We focus on identifying strengths within your whānau to create long-term change. You set the goals that you want to complete.

MST an intensive programme with access to 24/7 on-call support. We visit you in your own home, so you don’t have to go out. We may visit you up to three times a week and have phone contact in between.
