If you or someone you know is experiencing a mental health crisis and you’re worried about your safety or their safety, we provide assessment and short-term treatment services 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Who our service is for
Our service is for anyone in Wellington, Porirua, Kāpiti and the Hutt Valley.
How to access our service
You can phone Te Haika, our 24/7 mental health and addiction contact centre, on 0800 745 477.
Or you can ask your whānau, friend or other support person to contact us.
Alternatively, your GP or another community health provider can refer you.
Once we’ve spoken with you or with someone who’s supporting you, we will assess you to decide what the best options are.
This assessment may be carried out at a clinic, in your home or at another agreed venue. We will discuss assessment and treatment options with you.
