Psychologists who are members of the APEX union will undertake a second partial strike action, from 8am Tuesday 1 October to 8am Friday 1 November.

During the strike, APEX members working as psychologists – excluding intern psychologists – will complete a maximum total of two hours of face-to-face contact with patients and clients, and families of patients and clients, each day.

We respect and acknowledge APEX members’ right to undertake strike action. Patient and client safety and wellbeing remains our highest priority and focus, and detailed contingency plans are in place to ensure we can continue to meet patients’ and clients’ needs during this time.

People can be assured that any patients or clients who are in crisis will continue to receive the care and support they require.
